Qualified from Baghdad School of Medicine 1969 MB.Ch.B . In  1975 Dr Husam  completed  part I MRCP UK and  joined the Nephrology Dialysis Transplant unit in Royal Free Hospital London one year later. He continued in St.Jhons and Elizabeth Hospital  London as Nephrology and General Medicine Registrar and in 1978 completed  part ll MRCP UK.
In late 1978 he was appointed  Specialist Nephrology and internist Head of department of Medicine in Mid Euphrate teaching Hospital and head of dialysis unit in Alnajaf teaching hospital,Iraq.
In 1980 February joined Huddinge hospital in Stockholm Sweden for three months training in Dialysis.
 Dr Husam was Head of the Scientific committee of the Iraqi Nephrology Association
Since  2007 he started as  Consultant  in Nephrology and Internal Medicine in UAE and joined Dar Al Shifaa hospital  till February 2022 .
He has a  great experience in the field of DM, Hypertension and kidney diseases attending impressive number of  teaching program in Nephrology and Medicine inside UAE and internationally.
